Nihonbashi is old town which flourishes since Edo era (about 1600-),
and there are Bank of Japan, old big department stores.
There is many development recently, so many buildings are rather new.
Nihonbashi is once a beautiful bridge. One of the top painter in Edo era, Utagawa Hiroshige drew the paint of the scene of Nihonbashi.
Today Nihonbashi bridge itself drawn in the picture is under a highway, but around it is beautifully developed.
